Description du poste
We are looking for a talented individual to support the Senegal Country Program. The intern will work closely with the program managers to support the Country’s team in developing and implementing energy efficiency and renewable energy projects. The assignment will include the followings but not limited to: Monitor the progress of energy efficiency and renewable energy studies and projects in the sector of agriculture, building, sanitation, power generation, etc.; Monitor global and national technical and regulatory developments in the field of energy efficiency and renewable energy; Provide evidence-based research, data analysis, and information, including support feasibility studies to inform concept notes and proposal development in energy efficiency and renewable energy topics; Support the country team in bankable project ideation, structuring and design for the following thematic areas: Energy Efficiency, Renewable Energy, Climate Smart Agriculture, Waste to Energy, Private sector development and entrepreneurship; Coordinate meetings, field missions, preparing meeting minutes, and organizing / cleaning data as requested; Any other tasks as requested by the supervisor.
Mission
To be eligible for an internship, candidates must: Be enrolled in a Bachelor’s (final year), Master’s or PhD program or a recent graduate within the last 12 months in business, sustainable energy engineering, or a related field preferred; Familiarity with or ability to quickly learn various topics of sustainable energy; Real field agent and able to interact with GGGI’s technical partners; Strong research and analysis skills and ability to efficiently manage a large number of tasks simultaneously; Be willing to work as a team but be flexible to work independently; Proven computer literacy in standard office software applications, as well as willingness to learn new tools; Possess an excellent command of English, French and communication skills; Good interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively with colleagues from diverse cultural backgrounds and time zones.
